Job Description – Data Analyst
As Data Analyst, this role will be responsible for Data analysis. Key responsibility includes analysis of data for insight generation, quality assessment and data visualization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ability to understand the business domain and determine business impact due to data issues.
Analyze complex datasets to uncover patterns and trends, ensuring data quality across various projects.
Develop and execute data quality testing strategies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
Conduct regular data audits and quality assessments to identify and rectify data issues.
Hands on in using Data profiling tools and techniques.
Strong understanding of relational databases, star schema, and data modeling.
Validate data through established processes and tools, addressing quality issues through thorough analysis.
Write advanced SQL queries for data extraction and insight generation.
Conduct unit and regression testing to validate data pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and implement data governance processes.
Mentor and guide team members in best practices for data analysis, data quality assessments, and data management
Lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance team capabilities in data analysis and quality management.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data quality and analysis, and recommend improvements to current practices
Skills:
Strong knowledge on Excel – (Pivots, Macros / Functions (statistical), Filters,Vlookup etc).
Should be hands on in Data profiling / Data Quality tools preferably Informatica/Talend.
Should be hands on writing complex sql queries
Should have scripting knowledge on either Python
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Qualifications & Experience :
B.E (or equivalent) in Computer Sciences
8-10 years of prior experience having worked on data related projects
