Job Description -
We are looking for an experienced Automation Leader to drive excellence in API, Performance, and Security Testing while leading and mentoring the QA team. This role combines strong technical expertise with people management to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will spearhead the development of automation testing strategies, frameworks, and processes, contributing to the maturity and innovation of the organization’s QA function.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust automation frameworks for API, Performance, and Security Testing.
Define and execute test strategies for functional, regression, performance, and security testing, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Implement performance testing strategies, including load testing, stress testing, and scalability assessments, to ensure system reliability.
Drive security testing initiatives, incorporating vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and compliance validation into the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless and efficient deployments.
Research and adopt cutting-edge tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the automation capabilities of the organization.
Develop long-term roadmaps for automation adoption, aligning with business and project goals.

Technical Expertise

Proven experience in API testing, performance testing, and security testing, with hands-on expertise in tools like Postman, JMeter, Selenium, LoadRunner, OWASP ZAP, or Burp Suite.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation testing in Agile environments.
Experience in designing performance testing strategies, analyzing system behavior under load, and mitigating bottlenecks.
Familiarity with security testing techniques, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
In-depth understanding of QA processes, with a track record of identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

People Management

Build and lead a high-performing QA team specializing in API, performance, and security testing.
Mentor and coach team members, enabling them to excel in technical skills, career growth, and personal development.
Set clear goals, conduct regular feedback sessions, and manage performance evaluations to drive team productivity and engagement.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative culture that encourages continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Identify training needs and conduct workshops to keep the team updated with industry trends and technologies.

Strategic Planning and Execution

Develop and own the automation roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and project priorities.
Establish KPIs and success metrics to measure the effectiveness of automation, performance, and security testing initiatives.
Contribute to the overall QA maturity by proposing and implementing advanced methodologies, reusable frameworks, and knowledge repositories.
Drive stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment of QA efforts with organizational goals and client expectations.

Process Improvement and Governance

Regularly review QA processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements, focusing on automation and scalability.
Establish standardized best practices for API, performance, and security testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Establish frameworks that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with organizational needs.

Quality Assurance and Risk Mitigation

Ensure comprehensive validation of APIs, with a focus on functionality, scalability, and security.
Oversee performance testing to ensure applications meet scalability and performance benchmarks under various load conditions.
Proactively address potential security risks, ensuring robust security testing practices are integrated into the QA lifecycle.
Monitor and report on testing effectiveness, ensuring defect leakage is minimized to production environments.

ISQTB  Test Automation Engineer
ISQTB Test Management
Performance and or Security testing certification

Qualification & Experience
B.E  Preferably Computer science, Information technology or Electronics 
Experience - 8 to 10 yrs
